How a round plays

A host screen everyone can see, a phone in every hand, and about a minute per prompt.

  1. The lobby on the host screen: a six-digit room code, a QR code and four players who have joined
A player's phone, connected and showing their avatar

    Everyone joins with a code

Open the game on a TV, a laptop or a shared screen. A room code and a QR code appear straight away, and everyone joins from the phone in their pocket.

Not enough friends? Add an AI player and it writes and plays along like everyone else.

  2. The host screen while everyone writes: four players, each ticked off once they have answered
The prompt on a phone with the answer BURNT EYEBROWS typed in

    Write the funniest answer

Every player gets fill-in-the-blank prompts on their phone. “I'm Bobby Flay, and if you can't handle ___, you better leave the kitchen!” Sam goes with burnt eyebrows.

The big screen shows who has answered, so nobody can quietly sit one out.

  3. A duel on the host screen: BURNT EYEBROWS versus FOOD FIGHTS
The vote on a phone: two answers to tap

Two answers go head to head

Each prompt becomes a duel between two players' answers, shown side by side on the big screen. Everyone else picks the funnier one on their phone, and nobody knows who wrote what until the votes are in.

  4. The round scoreboard: Sam leads with 1500 points, beside the top answers VEGAN DARTH VADER and BURNT EYEBROWS

    Votes become points

The share of the vote turns into points, and after every round the scoreboard shows who is ahead and which answers the room loved most.

Or watch the 20-second explainer

This is the film your players see on the big screen before the first round, so nobody has to explain the rules.

A Jackbox-style game, free in any browser

No Offense is a party game much like Quiplash that you can play with friends in the same room or over a call. Set up a host computer, TV or tablet, and your friends join from any mobile or desktop browser. Nobody installs anything, on any device.

Not enough friends? Add AI players to keep the duels coming. It is quick to set up and made for spontaneous laughter: a round takes a few minutes, and the next one starts with new prompts.

Make it your game

The prompts you just played are ours. Write your own, about your friends, your office or your group chat, and host a round nobody else can play. It takes a few minutes and costs nothing.

Questions people ask

Is No Offense free?
Yes. Open play.quizshow.io/offense on a shared screen and play. Neither the host nor the players need an account.
Is it like Quiplash?
It plays the same way: everyone answers prompts, two answers go head to head, and the room votes for the funnier one. No Offense runs in the browser and costs nothing, so nobody has to own a party pack. There are more games like Quiplash if you want to compare.
How many players do you need?
Two to eight. With fewer people, add AI players from the lobby and they write and vote along.
Do my friends need to download an app?
No. Players join from any mobile or desktop browser by entering the room code on the host screen or scanning the QR code next to it.
Can we play over a video call?
Yes. Share the host screen on the call and everyone plays along on their own phone.
Can I write my own prompts?
Yes. No Offense is also a question type in the quizshow.io editor, so you can write prompts about your friends or your office and mix them into a quizshow of your own.
